Food

We work closely with parents around their child’s dietary needs and provide snacks that are healthy and nutritious. We are a ‘Nut Free’ provision and so check all foods to prevent contamination. Parents need to provide a health nutritious lunch box for their child. We ask that you check the labels of any food you provide to make sure they do not contain nuts. We do not have a catering facility on site so we ask that you provide your child’s lunch. However, we can provide snack and the resources for food activities for a small fee. Children are taught about the importance of food for their bodies and about healthy choices through well planned activities that give them the opportunities to try new things. We are always mindful of children; s dietary needs when planning these activities.

Tapestry

We operate an online system that keeps you in contact with your child’s keyworker. They will provide you with termly updates are your child’s learning and development and how you can support this at home. There is also a yearly opportunity to meet face to face with them to discuss your child’s learning and development and any concerns or questions you may have. Your child’s keyworker can give you advise on your child’s learning and development and support you with any concerns or information you may need. They can also sign post you to other services if you are unsure of where to go.

We also use the Tapestry to tell you about events or things that the children have been doing on occasions throughout the year. You are also encouraged to put up pictures and let us know of the things your child has done or achieved outside of Pre-school so we can share this with them. We will also send you information of play schemes in the area that may be of interest or things such as Speech and Language drop in dates if you have any speech concerns.

Newsletters

We provide you termly newsletters with dates and events for your calendar with additional information about what will be happening that term.
